Every Friday night is the perfect prelude to a beautiful weekend — and nobody wants to wade through a lengthy read. So here are a few simple tips to help boost your fortune (旺运). Don’t take my word for it: those who’ve tried them say they work remarkably well. [福]

1 - The year-end is approaching. Avoid gloomy, dreary places as much as possible. Instead, head to upscale, bustling malls, hotels, and restaurants. The livelier and more prosperous the venue, the better — go soak up that good energy.

2 - Even if the broader environment feels rough, make a point these next two months to spend more time with people who are thriving and riding an upward wave. Position yourself inside circles that are on the rise.

3 - Normally this might not matter much, but right now — avoid crime thrillers, horror, suspense, and melodramas. They genuinely pull your fortune down and invite bad luck.

4 - Within your means, start wearing gold and silver. Gold, pearls, fine jewelry — stop leaving them tucked away. Before the holiday, dress yourself in wealth and let that energy attract more your way.

5 - Be especially careful about speech karma (口业) right now. No matter how tempting the gossip, don’t make negative comments about others behind their backs. If you have grievances, just smile and say nothing.

6 - When you do open your mouth, speak only auspicious, gracious words — let your speech bloom like lotuses, fragrant and beautiful. Don’t let a careless word plant seeds of bad energy.

7 - Before the new year, try to do one good deed each day. Grab a colleague’s lunch on your way, help a neighbor collect a package, leave a little food out for a stray cat or dog. This is what the old saying calls “广结善缘” — planting seeds of goodwill everywhere. The karma will find its way back to you.

8 - Make yourself “clear and luminous” in every dimension. Keep your hair clean and neat, your clothes pressed and presentable. Update your WeChat profile photo, chat backgrounds, and phone wallpaper to images that feel wealthy and auspicious.

9 - Clean out your kitchen, bathroom, and storage rooms. Scrub away any dark, cluttered corners. When things aren’t going smoothly, this kind of clearing is remarkably effective — I mean it.

10 - Give yourself a blessing. Don’t think that because you’ve blessed yourself a few times this year, you can ease up. Remember: all things carry spirit, and words carry spirit too (万物有灵,言亦有灵). In the quiet moments before the Spring Festival, silently repeat your wish to yourself. Come next year, it has a much higher chance of coming true. Keep the wish small, practical, and specific — that’s what makes it work.

11 - I’ll use this moment to lead by example myself. I, Master Chi, sincerely wish that you and every member of our community — in the coming Year of Jiachen (Wood Dragon) — will bounce back from the bottom and have everything go your way. We’re not asking for an overnight reversal of fortune. We simply hope that every ounce of effort you put in returns twice the reward.

And beyond that: may the people you love, love you back. May the things you’re working toward succeed. May everything feel easy and right.

And the two of us — let’s keep this going, long and steady, growing together for years to come. [太阳][福][红包]
