Recently, quite a few of you have been quietly venting to me in the comments.

You feel like no matter how hard you work in the current environment, there’s nothing to show for it. After enough time like this, even your spirit and drive start to wither.

That all-in state you once had — the one where you’d give everything to get something done right — feels like a distant memory.

I understand this deeply. We are, in fact, living through what I’d call “an era’s low-return cycle,” and losing your fighting spirit right now is completely natural.

But here’s something worth remembering: life isn’t supposed to be nothing but hustle and battle. When you’re exhausted, spending time with family, clearing your mind, taking a real break — these aren’t luxuries. They’re necessities.

We Chinese people carry such a heavy sense of responsibility. We convince ourselves that reasonable rest is somehow a moral failure.

And yet we forget: the meaning of life is life itself.

Not grinding your body down with illness and your spirit down with pain — all for someone else’s company and ambitions.

In my own words: right now, the environment calls for keeping your energy output at around 70%. As for the results that follow — accept them calmly, and let things unfold as they will.

Trust me, fate is not trying to grind you into dust. Heaven has no intention of making your life needlessly hard.

When you’ve rested well and recovered your vitality, you’ll discover — almost to your own surprise — that you’ve come back with greater capacity than before: ready to climb higher peaks and reach for bigger rewards. ☀️
