Today Shanghai hasn’t stopped raining, and I’ve had my hands full with countless matters — writing a long piece simply wasn’t in the cards.
That’s fine, actually. It’s the perfect occasion to share a few small insights.
Especially these past two years, everyone has their own difficult chapter to get through. Knowing how to shake off the “dirty things” — the negative energies that cling to us — has never been more important. Only when you’ve freed yourself from them can your days flow with real auspiciousness and ease.
Here are a few small pieces of advice:
1 — Never let yourself keep sinking into anxiety. If you do, you’ll easily slip into a state called qiong si jie lü — an obsessive, exhausting mental spiral where your thoughts run dry and solutions refuse to come.
Over time, your energy and resistance crumble. All manner of negative Chi and ill fortune will seize the opening and creep in.
Read. Exercise. Pour yourself into your work. Use a steady stream of positive energy to continuously drive away the negative — that’s how your days start to flow.
2 — Don’t be afraid of “losing face.” This period is actually a prime opportunity to thoughtfully refresh your social circle.
Beyond friends who’ve struck it rich and are riding a wave of great fortune, don’t neglect those whose lives are simply humming along nicely. Swallow your pride and keep those connections warm.
Don’t play false modesty — who knows, they might need someone dependable like you, too.
More often than not, good luck is borrowed and exchanged in quiet, unnoticed moments, slowly accumulating over time.
3 — Circumstances are stronger than individuals; your life pattern (格局, gé jú) is larger than any single luck cycle.
I haven’t read your specific destiny chart, but whatever your destiny framework, you must attend carefully to the details — arrange things in alignment with what your pattern calls for.
For example, if your chart falls under the Ziwei (Purple Star) position, surround yourself with fire-element objects and domains: a crimson phone case, a phoenix as your profile image, the entertainment, film, and cultural industries, and so on.
If your chart enters the Tianfu (Heavenly Wealth) position, draw closer to water-element objects and directions: a deep navy wardrobe palette, ocean or lake imagery as your avatar, trade, finance, and consumer industries, and so on.
Identify your compatible direction and element as early as possible — and never, ever move against it.
You might wonder why the prominent figures in regions like Hong Kong, Macau, and southern Guangdong — places where traditional culture has been well preserved — care so deeply about these details. There is profound wisdom behind it. It simply isn’t often discussed in ordinary circles.
4 — Hold firm to the habit of duan-she-li (断舍离) — releasing what no longer serves you. Every month, clear out your living space and your life.
For people who make you uncomfortable: don’t force yourself to endure it. Stay polite, keep your distance, and part ways gracefully.
For objects that feel off: don’t hesitate for a moment. Pass them on if you can; if not, box them up and put them away out of sight.
The greatest danger is not knowing how to let go.
Over time, stagnant energy and declining fortune accumulate on you — bit by tiny bit — quietly dragging your state of being lower and lower.
5 — Today I’m sharing some wonderful images — auspicious choices you can use to invite good fortune into your life.
As always, since I don’t know the specifics of your destiny framework, I won’t make direct recommendations. The best approach is to trust your intuition: which image draws you in? Which one brings you ease and brightness when you look at it?
When one catches your eye, setting it as your phone wallpaper or profile image is an excellent choice.
