Inspiration is a funny thing — sometimes it arrives as a long essay, other times as just a few words. Tonight’s piece is one of the latter. Brief as it may be, if your understanding runs deep enough, these few lines will outweigh a thousand elaborate sentences.
One — Don’t grip too tightly when things get hard. The more relaxed, unhurried, and at ease you are, the better your results tend to be — and the sharper your eye becomes for opportunities that flash past in an instant.
Two — If heaven doesn’t step in to help you, it’s because it trusts you to get through it yourself — or to draw real lessons and experience from it.
Three — Even when you don’t know where you’re headed, don’t be afraid. As long as you keep moving forward, the destination will not disappoint you.
Four — You deserve to be loved, cared for, respected, and seen. The one condition: you must first believe, without doubt, that you are worthy of all of it.
Five — Affairs succeed through discretion; blessings are preserved by keeping them close. Stop broadcasting your good life to the world. Those who enjoy it quietly and with both feet on the ground are the ones who keep it safe — and lasting.
Six — Getting entangled with toxic people and worthless situations — even if you come out on top, you’ve fundamentally lost. You lose your time, your energy, your peace of mind.
So remember: the weak seek revenge. The foolish hold grudges. The strong forgive. The wise simply ignore.
Seven — Tedious good habits: repeat them forever. Sooner or later, they will light up your future. Comfortable bad habits: never touch them. In the end, they will rot the very foundation of your destiny.
Eight — When difficulty finds you, don’t let it shake you to your core. Eat a full meal. Sleep soundly. Clear your head. Then meet it face to face, with dignity. The moment you arrive at that awakening (觉悟), difficulty will be the one to bow before you.
The above is tonight’s right-mindfulness. May it serve you well.
