Only those who have been truly forged by the battlefield of life will understand the importance of rest.
True rest is calming the mind and nurturing your Chi (气) — strengthening the root, restoring the foundation. It means refusing to waste a single word on people who don’t matter, refusing to get tangled in things that don’t count, and refusing to let the endless churn of videos, messages, and noise disturb your spirit.
True rest means preparing a few clean, wholesome meals for yourself — nourishing your organs from the inside out. It means following a healthy rhythm, sleeping as many hours as your body truly needs, and letting yourself recharge completely.
When you have the time, go out alone — find the sunlight and the silence, and take a gentle walk in nature. Especially places where mountains meet water. These places are born saturated with the spirituality of the natural world.
Remember this: true rest must always be empty, unhurried, and freely at ease.
If you can rest this way for just two or three days each month, the energy you accumulate will be enough to shake heaven and earth — enough to conquer every goal and overcome every obstacle in your path.
