…will not be particularly optimistic.
Why do I, Master Chi, say this? There are several things I hope parents clearly understand:
1 - Whether a child is academically gifted has little to do with intensive tutoring, but has everything to do with genetics, life pattern (destiny framework), and family environment. Pushing children hard can add polish at best — it cannot rewrite destiny.
2 - In elementary and middle school, drilling through practice problems can still get results. But once high school begins, it becomes purely a matter of natural talent and whether parents have instilled strong problem-solving frameworks.
3 - Giving children access to smartphones and tablets too early offers absolutely no benefit whatsoever. Adults are one thing — but for children, early exposure leads to absorbing massive amounts of uncontrolled information, which directly causes rebelliousness and addiction.
4 - What children today truly lack is social ability. The result is that when they enter society, they are remarkably closed off, awkward, introverted, and inhibited. This is why I, Master Chi, strongly encourage families who have the means to ensure their children participate in team competitive sports — basketball, soccer, volleyball, and the like.
5 - The devaluation of academic credentials is a foregone conclusion. This doesn’t mean a university degree holds no value — it means “picking a random university without any career plan” is a deeply foolish move. Especially in recent years, young people graduating from mediocre programs at prestigious schools truly have no prospects to speak of.
6 - I recall that six years ago, I clearly stated in an article that it is better to master a strong, marketable skill than to study a worthless program at a famous school. Just like these past two years — every graduation season, parents come to thank me, because I had used their child’s destiny framework (格局) to map out a clear “growth and skills development roadmap” early on. Those children are now doing very well in their careers, far surpassing peers who scored high but chose dead-end programs.
7 - I have never understood why some parents would rather spend enormous sums on tutoring — staying up night after night helping their children with homework — yet never think to understand their child’s true destiny framework early and teach according to their nature. Put plainly: 90% of misguided parents are putting in completely wrong effort — “trying to cast iron from wood, using fine jade as common brick.”
I won’t say more. Parents who truly care for their children will naturally know what to do for them once I’ve offered this reminder.
