Time, attention, decision-making capacity, management bandwidth, health, opportunity, energy, relationships, reputation — cost is not only money.
For many years, I have been rather reluctant to take on what I call “simple girls” — women who come seeking analysis of their life pattern (格局) and fortune cycles (气运).

These so-called simple girls are not wicked or foolish. Most are kind and pure-hearted. But they share one glaring flaw: a severe lack of deep understanding of the real world.

Don’t let someone else’s success drag you into despair, making you feel worthless. And don’t let someone else’s failure tempt you into smugness, making you feel superior.
To those who reached their goals before you — no groveling. Offer your value proactively, and trade it for opportunity and knowledge.
To the ordinary people still finding their footing behind you — no condescension. Reach out and help them, and earn their loyalty and dedication in return.
Over the past couple of days, I’ve had brothers and sisters coming to me with the same complaint.
