Never lower yourself to seek anyone’s pity or affection — because doing so is drinking poison to quench your thirst.
Even if you end up together, the price you’ll pay is a slow, prolonged burning of yourself in exchange for a fleeting, hollow warmth.
In the end, it amounts to nothing more than years of self-delusion and a heart completely drained dry.
This is especially common among women — because proportionally, women tend to love more completely, more resolutely, and more recklessly. And so the price they pay is greater — sometimes an entire lifetime.
If your child is an international student, then as a parent, you absolutely must read today’s article in full. It holds real value — for your child and for your family’s future.
1 —
Today’s topic came from something a reader said to me two weeks ago, when she came to me in tears.
Her situation is a classic one. She had worked hard her entire life, and when the time came, she decided that sending her child overseas to study was the best thing she could do. So she did exactly that.
This is a sincere word from me, Master Chi, to all parent readers — if you have children, you must turn this over in your mind again and again.
What has been weighing on me recently is two parent readers who came to me for a reading of their children’s life pattern (destiny framework), and all they could focus on was their children’s grades — completely ignoring their overall capabilities.
1 - You’ve all seen last night’s news, I’m sure. The world’s two strongest economic entities have entered another phase of confrontation — and the intensity is far from trivial. So barring any extraordinary developments, next Monday will most likely bring a rather awkward situation. I’ve already made my mental preparations.
2 - But from a truly macro perspective, this is not something particularly dire. In some sense, it was inevitable. Given the current world order, the dragon and the eagle are simply competing on their own merits — hard power does the talking now. Going forward, gray swans will most likely continue to multiply, one by one.
There was a time when I always dreaded the end of a break — knowing I’d have to turn around and face the weight of work again. I was genuinely unhappy about it.
But as my career slowly found its footing and my mindset matured, something shifted: whether resting or working, both are simply part of how we experience life.
When you’re resting, rest fully — don’t carry the burden of feeling like you’re wasting time.
…travel would be rather inconvenient during this stretch.
So beyond keeping up with the day-to-day work obligations, I spent most of the time at home with family — tending to my bonsai collection, reading, doing reviews and reflections, getting in some exercise — and using this quieter period to prepare better content to share with everyone after the holiday.
The few times I did go out were for a handful of social dinners. Nothing more.
In the coming days, make every effort to put yourself somewhere sunny, full of good energy, open and unhurried.
Let yourself truly enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer.
This is not a sin. I mean that.
Master Chi knows you might feel that leisure and relaxation like this is a form of slacking off — something passive and unproductive. But remember: a human life spans, at most, around thirty thousand days.
Master Chi’s article is brief — but extraordinarily rich in value.
As long as you haven’t yet crossed the age of 55, the ideas and frameworks within can bring you real clarity: clarity on where to direct your efforts, and how to move steadily, step by step, closer to financial freedom.
So if you’re dissatisfied with an ordinary life and don’t know where to begin —
Read this article patiently, all the way through.
With the holiday just around the corner and things getting busy, I sat down last night and let my thoughts flow into these brief reflections.
I hope you come away with something of value.
1 — “A harmonious home brings prosperity in all things” — this truly matters
This is especially true for those in business, investing, or building wealth. A peaceful home, free from unnecessary conflict, is the single greatest secret to attracting wealth fortune (财运).
Many people don’t understand why they need to keep adjusting their social circle. Why is it that the higher someone rises — the more established their wealth and status — the more exacting they become about who they keep close? Almost to the point of obsession.
The reason is simple. Let Master Chi explain.
Jealous people won’t offer you blessings — they’ll offer you betrayal. Petty people won’t give you support — they’ll give you dead weight. Angry people won’t give you stability — they’ll give you dread. People consumed by inner turmoil won’t nourish you — they’ll wear you down.
