The past two weeks have been exceptionally busy — mostly because I’ve been in deep conversations with my circle of “old-timer friends” about what the world ahead will look like.
These old-timer friends are mostly longtime companions of Master Chi’s, well-known figures in business and industry who, on my advice over the years, have each built up positions in new-technology assets.
Many of them personally made the leap during 2015–2019, upgrading their industries and entering new energy, power, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.
Something happened these past two days that’s been weighing on me.
Let me ask you something: have you ever come across a child who seemed perfectly sweet and well-mannered — soft-spoken, obedient, the kind of kid every parent hopes for?
And yet, the moment a parent tries to take away their phone, they transform entirely. An explosion of hysteria. Rage unleashed. And out of that small mouth comes language so foul you’d never expect it from someone so young.
Today’s article is a special one.
I wrote it specifically for “those of you who refuse to miss the opportunities this era has to offer.”
Why?
From the start of this year until now, Master Chi has spent nearly every day in conversation with major players in AI — engineers, investors, and visionaries across the field.
So much so that I’ve arrived at a complete and firm conviction: a new era is quietly arriving, and along with it, the enormous dividends it carries.
Master Chi has always felt that we modern people have one glaring problem: a serious lack of practical, hands-on ability and the real-world knowledge to handle actual difficulties.
Let’s not even talk about extreme scenarios. Basic skills like treating everyday injuries, purifying water in an emergency, or safely starting a fire — most people simply don’t know how to do any of these things.
Of course, Master Chi also hopes you’ll never need these skills in your lifetime. Because that would mean you’ve spent your whole life in an orderly, safe, and comfortable urban environment.
Since the end of last year, Master Chi has wanted to write an article — a real conversation with parents like you about how to raise children more effectively in today’s world. How to help your child become genuinely excellent, truly exceptional, powerfully strong.
Why? Because Master Chi has read far too much content on this topic, and my immediate impression is always the same: the scope is too narrow. Most of it focuses only on a child’s studying and academic performance.
Tonight, Master Chi wants to have a talk with you about “failure.”
Because I’ve long believed that ordinary people have a fundamentally wrong understanding of failure — and that’s exactly why so many of them struggle to accomplish anything in this lifetime.
Here’s the thing: over the past few days of the holiday, Master Chi spent his time not only managing the usual business affairs, but also throwing himself completely into learning new AI tools. I kept writing all kinds of science fiction and fantasy novels with Yuanbao, creating music with Suno, and generating images and videos with other AI tools.
Master Chi has put together a ranked list for your reference. This is essentially the definitive answer.
1 - Your health — and a body free of illness that can move freely.
2 - Your mind — and a brain that regularly consumes great books and quality content.
3 - A reliable partner, genuine friends, and a kind, warm-hearted family.
4 - Core quality assets — such as real estate, factories, or storefronts that generate a steady, positive cash flow. The returns don’t need to be enormous, but they should consistently put money in your pocket.
A clear direction, disciplined daily habits, a clean environment, reliable friends, and meaningful work.
So Master Chi hopes that going forward, you can make your life simpler and simpler — stop letting the rush and restlessness of the world pull you off your rhythm.
Slow your pace. Trim your circle. Live your days well. Settle your mind.
Quietly savor the simple pleasures of life. Watch the rise and fall of fortune with a smile. Face everything with composure, then keep moving forward — patiently, deliberately.
Let me share some thoughts from personal experience on this topic.
1 — The most worrying scenario is a child with shaky values and mediocre academic performance, whose parents happen to be financially well-off and rashly send them abroad anyway.
Children like this, with unstable values, are easily led astray by bad company they happen to meet while studying abroad. And when the family has money, it becomes all too easy for the child to be indifferent to their parents’ sacrifices — and just go wild overseas.
What you need to reflect on is your own judgment and discernment — not your sincerity and kindness.
Kindness is a choice; wisdom is a skill. We can sharpen our skills, but we need never doubt our choices.
The attitude you bring to life is the face life returns to you.
