- Stop being obsessed with salaried positions. Do your job diligently, but don’t give without limits. Recognize that your job is the foundation — self-growth is the core goal.
- Frankly acknowledge your shortcomings, rather than being inexplicably confident while having accomplished nothing. Life works in an interesting way: the more humble you are, the more you grow, and the more you prosper.
- When I was young, I always thought I needed to seize “opportunities to get rich.” As I matured, I came to understand that what’s truly worth seizing is “companies with long-term development potential” and “continuously improving personal abilities.”
- Cash is important, but the essence of cash is leverage — and leverage isn’t for gambling, it’s for converting into quality assets.
- Consider two people each worth 10 million: one holds 10 million in cash, the other holds 10 million in quality assets that continuously generate returns. Clearly, the latter will remain wealthy longer and more securely.
- Don’t think that just because you’re an ordinary office worker, all of this is too far removed from you. Master Chi has one more thing to say: it’s not because you’re wealthy that you do the right things — it’s because you do the right things that you become wealthy.
- Life is best lived by subtraction. For me, life consists of only: family, career, reading, and fitness. The more distractions you allow in, the more scattered your energy and finances become — and the more chaotic your rhythm.
- When you focus your energy on cultivating wealth, life’s trivial matters will disappear on their own. When you focus your energy on life’s trivial matters, cultivating wealth will remain out of reach.
- Extreme emotions are dangerous. I have never seen anyone with an extreme temperament achieve lasting wealth and prosperity. Wealth and prosperity come from being inclusive — embracing all perspectives, seeking common ground while accepting differences, extracting what is useful and making it your own. It means lowering your need for self-expression, quieting your mind to genuinely listen to others, and drawing nourishment from what you hear.
- All things in this world move through valleys, plateaus, and peaks. When the market was at 2,800 points, no one paid it any attention — look at it now. The same principle applies to truly great companies: though not hotly pursued at this moment, they will ultimately be recognized again, just like properties in strong cities and prime locations.
- Your spouse truly matters. A reliable and rational spouse doesn’t exist to provide you with cheap emotional validation, nor to drag you endlessly into low-level daily friction. Instead, both of you calmly and rationally apply your respective intelligence and judgment — making sound decisions, building careers, and laying out your long-term strategy together.
- Stop repeatedly making elementary mistakes driven by desire — binge eating, reckless gambling, internal conflict, betrayal. Become an honest and positive person. Have the courage to frankly acknowledge your mistakes and correct them. Continuously focus your energy on what truly matters. Rest assured, this isn’t Master Chi moralizing — this is a genuine, proven methodology for wealth and prosperity in life.
- When you make a great fortune, don’t show it off. Showing off is inviting disaster. When you suffer losses, don’t be discouraged. Discouragement means throwing away everything you’ve built. Face pressure and difficulties with determination and courage. Hold on, and there is hope. Where there is hope, there is a way forward.
- Take pen and paper and copy everything above by hand. Years from now, you will be deeply grateful for this effort.
