I’ve had a bit to drink — just enough to feel pleasantly hazy. So what I write tonight will carry that same soft blur.

And maybe it’s the haze that makes it easier to say what’s really on my mind.

Looking back over the years, I’ve ridden the waves alongside my family — tasted the highs, carried the weights, felt it all. Not a wasted life, by any measure.

The deepest lesson of all? Wealth. The understanding of it.

My writing has gotten more free-flowing lately. This stream-of-consciousness style — I hope it reaches you.

? - There’s one thing every ordinary person needs to wake up to.

The people who have power and money today — it has very little to do with hard work. Think about it: which ordinary person isn’t working hard just to get by?

Remember, moving up comes down to three things.

One: the accumulated weight of generations — what your ancestors built and passed down. Two: the ruthless ability to seize the opportunities your era offers. Three: a deeply tangled web of well-placed connections and resources.

Get these three right, and you’re no longer talking about one person’s success. You’re talking about a family’s rise.

? - Some things aren’t easy to hear. They’ll sting. But you still need to understand them.

In your twenties and thirties, you can still fool yourself into thinking you’re “building slowly toward a big breakthrough.” But once you hit forty, the assets in your hands are the clearest, hardest proof of what you’re made of.

If you’re strong, your assets will show it. If you’re weak, they won’t lie for you.

So if you’re already past thirty and you don’t have a single friend around you who’s achieved something substantial — or your industry has no elders who’ve truly made it — don’t hesitate. Get out. Their today is your tomorrow.

? - Hitting middle age brought me one realization that really struck home: once you’re past your mid-thirties, it’s very easy to fall into path dependency and get addicted to your comfort zone.

At its core, it’s just fear — fear of hassle, fear of disruption, fear of hardship. Not wanting to stir things up the way you did when you were young. That’s a mistake.

If you want real wealth, you need to plant the right mindset in your early twenties. Then in your early thirties, force yourself to evolve again — cut loose a lot of old, bad habits.

With that foundation, you’ll naturally outpace most people and emerge in your forties.

? - Honestly, if you’re not satisfied with where you stand financially, then keep pushing yourself — in healthy, productive ways.

Even if you’re not buying property, still go look at real estate in good cities, in good neighborhoods. You’ll naturally develop a far deeper understanding of how cities grow than most people ever will.

Don’t dump serious money into stocks — but keep a small amount in play, maybe a thousand or two, and use it to sharpen your market instincts and your feel for wealth.

Why do most people fail at investing their whole lives?

Because when the big decisions arrive, they’re always cramming at the last minute — never preparing before the storm comes.

? - Following on from that, let me add one more thing: money will always favor those who know how to handle it.

It’s like how the most ruthless players in romance always seem to be the best at it — the more you play, the better you get. Ha.

A lot of people fail because of four words: “honest and well-behaved.” They just know how to clock in, save money, and then watch inflation silently erase their wealth. That’s… naive.

? - Every time I’ve hit rock bottom, I’ve picked up new skills to bounce back faster. But there’s one ability that never changes: copy the right answers.

What does that mean?

Find the people in their prime who have achieved real results. Study how they think about running things. Adapt to their habits. Mirror their logic.

I’m still young myself — but when it comes to learning and evolving, I’ve never stopped.

? - I don’t expect you to strike it rich, because that takes more than effort — it takes fortune’s blessing.

But I do believe that as a capable adult, you can absolutely reach a monthly income of 50,000 to 80,000 RMB, built on “staying grounded + clear direction + enough accumulated depth.”

Because that range is what most small business owners can achieve.

It’s like scoring an 80 on a math exam. Not easy — but absolutely not out of reach.

? - Here’s the thing: ordinary people are afraid of problems. But the reality of this world is that problems are afraid of people.

Being afraid of problems — that’s most people. They don’t like being busy with things, don’t like getting tangled up in trouble. The result? They slowly go slack. Their abilities deteriorate. And they become more and more afraid.

But the fierce ones aren’t afraid. Hard problems, annoying problems — they charge straight into them. Solve enough of them, and your capabilities get forged in the process.

That’s what it means when I say problems are afraid of people.

? - For all I’ve said, when you strip it back to the core, it really comes down to one paragraph:

Move with the times. Go with the flow — not too rushed, not too late.

Keep your mindset calm. Don’t carry too much baggage or arrogance. Humbly and graciously learn from people who have real results to show. Staying low is never the wrong move.

Don’t make money your only goal — instead, force yourself to become better at solving problems. Do your work boldly, but live quietly. Stay sharp and ready, be someone who makes things happen.

When it costs you nothing to help someone, don’t hold back. But don’t let your savior complex drag you into daily battles with bad people and bad situations.

Let yourself play with small amounts of money. Don’t get swept up. Don’t act impulsively. Match your moves to your abilities, and keep your affairs within what you can control.

Do this, and great fortune may remain elusive — but a comfortable, worry-free life? That’s yours.

That’s all for tonight.

A little tipsy, just hoping you enjoyed the read — my brothers and sisters.
