What do you think is the most precious wealth a woman can have in her lifetime?
Is it a wealthy, privileged family of origin? A life rich with dramatic highs and lows? Or perhaps a noble benefactor (Gui Ren) willing to help you along the way?
I’ll be honest — as reasonable as all of those sound, every single one of those answers is wrong.
Because for a woman, the most precious wealth you can have in this lifetime is the moment you truly wake up.
What does it mean to “wake up”?
It means that in the midst of some failure, confusion, or low point, a sudden flash of clarity hits you — and in that instant, you see the whole picture: the beginning, the end, the causes, the consequences, and your own role in it all, mistakes included.
The entire situation becomes transparent to you. The confusion dissolves. That is what awakening means.
And for a woman, the more areas of life in which you awaken, the more naturally your destiny smooths out — and the lighter life becomes.
But unfortunately, in all my years of experience in Chinese metaphysics (玄学), truly awakened women are rare. At most, perhaps 10% of all the women I’ve encountered.
And even among those who have awakened, the scope tends to be limited. Some only achieve clarity around marriage. Others only around wealth. Very few achieve both.
But if a woman can genuinely awaken across several of life’s key domains — she is a formidable force to be reckoned with.
What follows are the entry points to awakening in each of life’s major domains. How much you absorb is entirely up to you.
1 — The first thing you must awaken to is the cold, hard reality: only you can save your own life.
Never place the hope for your life in the hands of your parents striking it rich, your husband succeeding, your children making something of themselves, or some friend hitting the jackpot and taking you along for the ride. These are things entirely beyond your control.
It won’t happen. Stop dreaming.
If your own abilities are lacking, even blood relatives will grow to resent and look down on you for clinging to them.
But here’s the good news: your life and your overall capability are always a precise match. Every inch your intelligence, perspective, emotional intelligence, and awareness improve — your quality of life rises by exactly that same inch.
Fair and square. No exceptions.
So make it your baseline mindset: everything depends on you, and only you are truly reliable.
2 — What a woman must fear most is spending her days drowning in complaint and envy — both are foolish habits that drive good fortune away.
And don’t think others can’t sense the emotions buried deep in your eyes and heart. Once they do, they’ll guard against you, defend themselves from you, and slowly pull away.
But an awakened woman, upon seeing someone else rise to wealth and status, may feel a flash of irritation — and then quickly redirects that energy into two constructive thoughts:
- She’s done this well and married this well, which means she must have qualities I haven’t noticed yet. I should observe her carefully and learn.
- The fact that she’s doing this well means my social circle is, on balance, moving upward. That tells me I’m not surrounding myself with people going nowhere.
A woman who thinks this way carries an overall positive energy — calm, composed, and at ease. Naturally, she becomes easier for successful people to embrace, and more likely to have resources and opportunities shared with her.
3 — Awakened women are exceptionally skilled at quantifying themselves.
They are good at objectively and rationally assessing and scoring their own appearance, figure, intelligence, social skills, judgment, and more.
An awakened woman understands clearly that an unfounded sense of self-satisfaction is a fatal weakness — it blinds you to what needs improving.
So she genuinely welcomes objective criticism. She can even receive harsh words with an open heart.
But once you’ve criticized her? You’ll never get a second chance. Because she evolves at extraordinary speed.
This alone is something most women simply cannot do. The slightest criticism makes them feel completely negated — and they may even turn that critic into an enemy, needlessly creating hidden adversaries.
That’s why, whenever I hear someone say during a destiny chart (命盘) reading: “Master, please tell me my flaws and shortcomings fully and without reservation — hold nothing back!” — I know immediately: this woman has awakened. Her thinking is clear. I can safely and completely lay out everything about her life, the good and the bad.
4 — Awakened women universally possess a strong, engineering-style logical mind — capable of distinguishing the major from the minor, the urgent from the non-urgent, and the important from the trivial in their own lives.
And this capacity, more often than not, isn’t something that needs to be taught. You work it out yourself.
For example: while other women are fixated on some celebrity’s affair or scandal, you quietly sit down and continue reading Zhenguan Zhengyao or The Book of Lord Shang where you left off.
For example: while other women gossip about office drama in the group chat, you’re up late at night mapping out your entire year’s work plan and locking your goals firmly in mind.
You must understand: no matter how much gossip you accumulate, no matter how many “insider celebrity secrets” you’ve collected — none of it will have the slightest impact on your life. On the contrary, it drains your focus and mental energy, and makes you look petty and gossipy in other people’s eyes.
Think about the most gossip-obsessed friend in your circle. Is she not also struggling — financially and mentally? Has she not squandered her best years on things that amount to nothing?
If you can just hold yourself back — and pour that same energy into your career, investments, fitness, and reading — the unbridgeable gap between people grows precisely out of choices like that, accumulating slowly over time.
5 — Awakened women understand clearly that some costs in life are simply non-negotiable.
No matter how hard you try, how smart you are, or how disciplined you are — some pain cannot be avoided. It is a price that must be paid, and you drink it down without flinching.
And then? There is no “and then.” Learn the lesson. Keep moving.
If you want to find a truly good partner, you will inevitably encounter a few terrible ones first — they’re there to sharpen your eye.
If you want to truly command your wealth fortune (财运), you will inevitably be deceived a few times — those experiences refine your judgment.
The real danger is this: you endure the hardship, you pay the price — and then, inexplicably, you lose your nerve. Wouldn’t that make everything you went through completely pointless?
The most classic example: many women, after suffering through difficulty, develop a habit of wallowing in the residual pain. They never leave it behind.
They spend their days rehashing painful memories — and never dare to try again.
That is walking yourself into a dead end. That is falling down right before dawn breaks. Incredibly foolish.
I have said more than once: the type of woman I admire most is the one who has had her heart broken multiple times, who has failed repeatedly, and who has cried herself to sleep alone in the small hours of the night.
If you are that woman — don’t be so quick to write yourself off. Precisely because you have paid such a bone-deep price, you now carry a depth of understanding about life that others simply do not have.
At that point, a well-aimed analysis of your destiny framework (格局) can unlock potential that is truly limitless.
