1 — Thanks to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and continued turmoil across the Middle East, the Eagle finds itself unable to concentrate all its force toward any single target — even if it wanted to single us out.
Our resolute defense in recent months, combined with the Eagle’s more subdued posture, confirms they no longer have the stomach to “go all-in just to drag down the Eastern Giant.”
As long as we continue on the path of tao guang yang hui (keeping a low profile while building strength), maintaining a steady, measured pace of development over the next five to ten years — the Eagle will ultimately lose every last bit of leverage it has over us.
2 — After years of grinding conflict, the Bear is beginning to show signs of running out of steam.
That said, the Bear can still keep itself operational — it’s just that its momentum will erode day by day.
For us, this is not a bad thing. In fact, it opens up many opportunities and interests we can move to claim.
And frankly, most people right now would prefer to see the Bear keep struggling in that quagmire, continuing to bleed out.
3 — As these two dynamics play out, our East Asian neighbors will gradually read the situation more clearly — especially the shifting weight on the scales of power.
Just watch: over the past few years, Japan and South Korea have in fact been moving toward an increasingly warm and accommodating posture toward us.
As smaller nations, they understand very well the wisdom of compromise for survival in tight spaces — and the art of reading the room when it matters most.
4 — Whenever the global balance of power is unsettled, just watch where Britain stands.
When even Britain chooses to move toward the neutral camp, it signals that in the eyes of the world’s top strategic players, the Eastern power’s strength has become genuinely too formidable to stop.
5 — In principle, we will continue to let time dissolve the objective problems before us. Many of these will be gradually resolved over the coming years.
A few important reminders from Master Chi:
For couples in a state of hesitation, go ahead and have children — but lower your expectations and don’t push them relentlessly. Let children study and advance at their own pace. Even if a child grows up to be a completely ordinary person, that is still something deeply worthwhile.
When you reach a certain age, you’ll understand: among all of life’s experiences, nothing comes close to the joy and richness of family gathered together — noisy, bickering, wonderfully alive.
Quality domestic assets remain severely undervalued right now. By “quality assets,” I mean real estate in strong cities and shares in listed companies.
Most people have completely missed the point: our best assets are still not truly open to outside capital. Meanwhile, the process of building up liquidity has been quietly underway all along.
A slow bull market is something that gets nurtured into existence, over time. Banks cannot allow deposits to pile up forever without putting them into circulation.
Read that last paragraph more than once.
That’s all for tonight — the dinner just ended and there are more engagements ahead. Happy weekend, everyone.
