Let me be direct with you — in today’s environment, Master Chi believes there’s simply no need to blindly throw yourself into the grind, burning your health as the price of admission, fixating single-mindedly on money.
Wealth matters, of course. But if you currently meet the following four standards, I sincerely hope you can ease up a little and actually let yourself enjoy life.
1 — Stable work, decent income. Enough to roughly cover your daily expenses — and you’re confident enough in yourself that even if you left your job tomorrow, you could gradually rebuild a stable foundation.
2 — You and your family are healthy, physically and emotionally. No extreme betrayals — no affairs, no secret investments behind your back. When something comes up, you can talk it through and look out for each other.
3 — A home of your own. Not wealthy, not lavish, not some premium development — but a place where you can come home, take off your coat, step out of the shower, and genuinely unwind. Where you can sleep soundly.
4 — A little time to yourself each day — browsing your phone, playing a game — and two or three good friends you can talk with and decompress.
That’s it. Just these four. If all four are in place, your life is, in truth, fully equipped — already the kind of life countless others quietly envy.
A word of caution: don’t get caught up obsessing over exactly how much you earn, and don’t turn green watching others who seem to be doing better.
Once you fall into that comparison loop, you will spend the rest of your life in misery.
So — if you’ve already reached this fully-equipped standard — Master Chi’s advice is this: ease your pace. Handle your work well enough. Then spend your precious time on what actually matters: savoring life at a gentler rhythm, and being present for the people you love.
That is true happiness. ☀️
