Here’s the practice: in the evening, finish tidying everything up first, then take a good hot shower without delay.
No scrolling through your phone. No videos. No games. Nothing that looks relaxing but silently drains your energy.
Let yourself be completely undisturbed. Set your phone to Do Not Disturb.
Here’s what matters most — do this early. Give yourself plenty of time.
Ideally, by nine o’clock you’re already settled in bed. Give yourself that full, unhurried stretch of time.
Then turn off the lights. Lie down comfortably. Close your eyes and let your thoughts carry you wherever they want to go.
Breathe slowly. Let your body soften and release.
Let your eyes fall shut on their own.
If faint sounds drift in from outside — let them. That is the pulse of the world. It is not your concern. Simply follow the rhythm of your own breath, and quietly take in the stillness of heaven and earth.
Do this once a week — a complete emptying out, a full restoration of your energy. It truly extends your years, and it feels absolutely wonderful. 🌙
