Pre-Holiday Reflections: Notes from the Heart

With the holiday just around the corner and things getting busy, I sat down last night and let my thoughts flow into these brief reflections.

I hope you come away with something of value.

1 — “A harmonious home brings prosperity in all things” — this truly matters

This is especially true for those in business, investing, or building wealth. A peaceful home, free from unnecessary conflict, is the single greatest secret to attracting wealth fortune (财运).

I’ve known many wealthy and successful people in my circle. Whatever became of their marriages later, during their years of rising — their households were unified, harmonious, and pulling in the same direction.

Only when that foundation is in place does your spirit flow freely and your growth follow.

2 — No arguments, no cold wars

When problems arise, face them together and solve the problem itself — don’t point fingers at each other.

In all my years, I have never seen a household full of noise and conflict manage to build lasting wealth and standing.

Domestic conflict is extraordinarily draining on the mind and spirit — and so is everything required to build real wealth. The two cannot coexist.

Families where a single spark ignites an all-out war will find it nearly impossible to build any upward momentum. Both sides exhaust each other completely.

3 — Less talk, less nagging, less second-guessing

The greatest shift in me over these years is that I’ve stopped spending energy trying to convince others.

Even in my writing — I state my views clearly and share what I believe has genuine value with my brothers and sisters. Once I’ve done that, I’m satisfied. I’ve done my part.

As for those who disagree, I respect them equally. I won’t argue back — there’s no point. Getting red in the face over a difference of opinion gains you absolutely nothing.

Seek common ground, respect each other, walk your own path, cultivate your own inner strength. That is the best way forward — and this applies to every area of life.

4 — In middle age, you realize that stillness is the greatest luxury

True stillness means being free from the tangle of random interruptions — being able to pour your whole mind and energy into one meaningful pursuit, without distraction.

Hold onto that stillness, and your career and wealth will naturally flourish.

5 — Your circle matters more than you think

Looking back on my own life, the two things that have shaped me most are books and the people around me.

So what makes a good circle, in my view? One where everyone holds sound values — where each person is genuinely working to become a better version of themselves, where people freely share their perspectives and knowledge, and lift each other up along the way. That is the real thing.

In that kind of environment, you grow steadily and solidly, step by step — rather than standing in the same place for decades.

6 — On investment: where things are headed

Some of my brothers and sisters have been asking for my thoughts on investing going forward.

My thinking is clear: the next era belongs to technology — there’s little doubt about that.

I’ve said this more times than I can count: chips, semiconductors, energy, precision manufacturing, new energy vehicles, and computing power.

Those who took this to heart have been rewarded well — and I remain bullish on these sectors going forward.

That said, I won’t encourage chasing peaks. I’d rather wait for the correction to settle before building positions. And look — the correction is here now. That’s a good thing.

7 — Please read this next part carefully. It matters.

Master Chi has never encouraged chasing short-term gains or get-rich-quick schemes. Wealth built purely on speculation carries a heavy price when it turns against you.

Instead, respect time. Train yourself to sit patiently through bull markets and bear markets alike, and extract genuine wisdom from each experience.

Don’t let gains make you arrogant. Don’t let losses break your spirit.

Refine every experience into nourishment for your own inner strength.

Do this — with enough patience — and you will inevitably arrive at your own moment of breakthrough and real, lasting wealth.
