What’s remarkable is that many brothers and sisters who have read this passage find their Chi fortune (qi yun) truly beginning to flow more smoothly.
In life, encountering difficulties and setbacks is perfectly normal. The world is always changing — seas become mulberry fields, and so do I.
So there is no reason for me to wholesale deny my own wisdom and abilities just because of hardships and obstacles.
All of this is simply Heaven reminding me: it is time to evolve.
Fortunately, I possess wisdom, insight, and strength. I only lack a tiny bit of focus.
So as long as I am willing to settle my mind and gather my concentration, all things can be accomplished — all difficulties resolved.
Everything else is merely a matter of time.
So I do not fear dark troubles arising or petty obstacles clinging to me. They come to temper my character and help me ascend to higher levels, growing in wisdom.
As long as I endure through it, a brilliant new world awaits — the clouds will part and the moon will shine clear.
Life itself is a game. How many once-great figures rose to their peak, only to fade into the crowd?
Which of them did not once possess mountains of gold and seas of silver, standing at the very pinnacle?
And yet, in the end, were they not all a handful of dust?
So I should not place excessive pressure or harsh judgment upon myself.
Align with your life pattern (ge ju), do your utmost, and accept Heaven’s will.
Arrange your life well — what brings happiness and beauty, I embrace; what brings pain and misery, I release.
Is that not what wisdom truly is?
Each day upon waking: work diligently, carry yourself with humility, be sharp and eager to learn, eat well, read good books often, exercise regularly.
As long as I do this day after day, my destiny will steadily rise — firm and at ease.
Suffering will always pass. The sun will always rise.
In closing, Master Chi also prays that in this final month of 2024, all your wishes may be fulfilled as hoped — and that you and your loved ones remain safe and well.
