Master Chi sincerely urges you — read this one with sharp eyes and commit it to memory.
1. The older generation in the family is rigid and arrogant. They love piling pressure on you to satisfy their own vanity, yet offer nothing in the way of real material support or resources.
2. Family members are divided and lack any sense of unity. Every one of them is a pushover outside the home but a tyrant within it. You alone are struggling to hold everything together, while the others treat this as perfectly normal.
3. The entire family lacks strategic vision and wastes precious energy on trivial nonsense. They can argue over petty things for three to five days straight — endlessly scheming and bickering, draining your mental and emotional strength to the bone.
4. Gambling, vice, drugs, and infidelity — let any one of these into your family, and the entire household’s Chi fortune will be in decline for three years running.
5. Outside influences lead someone in the family to chase a get-rich-quick scheme — and worse, they have “zero ability or foundation, yet are willing to bet the family’s savings on it.”
6. The family completely fails to read its own actual situation, yet insists on international schools, luxury goods, and reckless investments — blind to the fact that steady, grounded accumulation is the only real path forward.
7. The most unfortunate and unavoidable one: a family member develops a long-term chronic illness, requiring another family member to provide sustained care and absorb heavy ongoing expenses.
On this last point, Master Chi has one piece of advice: get regular checkups at a major top-tier hospital — it’s more reliable than anything else out there. Never take seriously the people who say, “I’m getting on in years; if I get sick, I’ll sort myself out — I absolutely won’t be a burden to you.”
Because when something actually happens, the person who said those words will be the biggest burden of all.
