Count on your fingers — Spring Festival is truly just over ten days away.
And I believe this year’s Spring Festival will be something different. Because even though my articles haven’t been updating quite as frequently these past couple of days, I’m still receiving messages from brothers and sisters in the comments.
In those messages, anxiety, suppression, irritability, discouragement, and self-doubt are written between every line.
Of course, all things in this world operate through Yin and Yang in balance.
So behind this ocean of negative emotions, I can simultaneously see everyone’s hunger for progress, for wealth, for turning their lives around, for rising higher, for breaking through.
So let me offer you a few simple words of advice.
The truth is — falling into a temporary low point because of the turbulence of a great era is absolutely not a bad thing.
Because it’s only during those low points that you can truly see many things clearly.
This includes — but is not limited to — the warmth and coldness of human relationships, the entanglements of self-interest, the cutting edge of reality, the line between right and wrong… and much more. I speak from deep personal experience.
I myself have stumbled and fallen several times. Each time, I gained profound insight and awakened to things I hadn’t seen before.
The greatest insight of all: I absolutely believe that as long as a person “stays steady in spirit and holds their Chi,” there is no way they won’t find the chance to turn things around.
Especially when you step outside your narrow white-collar bubble and look at the people in this world who are building their own businesses and careers through sheer personal effort — you’ll see that eating bitter and suffering hardship is the most normal phase of life there is. The key is simply this: don’t drown long-term in self-defeating inner conflict. For the things that need to be done, dare to plant your feet firmly on the ground and do them.
Do that, and sooner or later, opportunities great and small will come to you. Guaranteed.
But the vast majority of people have very weak inner fortitude.
Most people — the moment they encounter a medium-sized life hardship — emotionally collapse.
Then they fall into a prolonged state of self-pity and lamentation. And then, with one hand they reluctantly go through the motions of dealing with their situation, while with the other they endlessly vent their emotions.
The result: frantic and flustered, anxious and agitated, incapable of solving any problem at all.
To all of this, I offer you two simple words: Don’t panic.
In fact, your best move right now is to take advantage of this Spring Festival window — this moment when heaven, earth, and all things come to a stillness.
Thoroughly sort through your current situation, your difficulties, your problems — all of it, completely.
Take note: do not allow yourself to slip into avoidance, and do not count on anyone else. You must rely on yourself to think everything through clearly.
Then take a few days and patiently work out a complete plan — a full roadmap for how you will move forward.
Once you’ve confirmed it and thought it through, when the Spring Festival holiday ends, roll up your sleeves and execute.
Above all: stop second-guessing yourself mid-execution.
Believe that you are not as fragile as you think. Go ahead — make bold, positive decisions. Then face your mistakes with equanimity, and calmly accumulate experience.
People are truly remarkable. Once you “stay steady in spirit and hold your Chi,” you’ll find yourself acting with ever-greater steadiness and calm.
Then your success rate starts climbing sharply. You become more and more capable and strong — until every last obstacle, one by one, is conquered and crossed by your own hand.
At that moment, look back at these words of mine, Master Chi.
And it will all suddenly click.
That the one who can truly save you — is precisely you yourself. [embrace]
