Heaven is not deliberately tormenting you.
But this life of ours is filled with ups and downs and uncertainty — and inevitably, there will be years when bad things pile up on you all at once, without rhyme or reason, nothing to argue against or explain away.
So what do you do?
The worse the times, the more important it is to not panic and not make mistakes.
You must settle your mind and tell yourself: my fortune (运势) is poor right now, but that’s alright. Dark clouds always pass. So I will hold myself together with a steady, disciplined life.
I will let go of the greed for quick riches and the desperate fantasy of an overnight turnaround. Instead, I will slowly, steadily move forward — through honest daily work, serious reading, and physical exercise. These simple, grounded steps, one by one, are how I climb out of the pit.
Because no matter how complicated the situation, the response never strays far from its root. In the end, it always comes down to meeting life with reliable capability, clear thinking, and a healthy body.
So when things go wrong, don’t fall into despair and give up on yourself. What are you afraid of? It’s not like there’s no way out — the way is just a little farther away, that’s all.
Clench your teeth and keep walking. You will find your way through.
So no matter what your circumstances are right now — whether or not you have someone to talk to — Master Chi wants to say this to you plainly, in six words: Stay steady, and there is always a way out.
