After years of analyzing destiny charts (BaZi) for members of elite circles, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: anyone who achieves sustained success has, at the level of the great Dao (the Way), consistently done many things right.
This becomes especially evident when you have traced the paths of one billionaire after another, then compared them against the winding roads walked by those whose fortunes have not gone well.
In that reflection, something dawns on you.
A successful, wealthy, and fulfilling life truly does have a set of spiritual cultivation (修行) practices — things you simply commit to quietly, and they will inevitably bear fruit.
Those who follow this path tend to live happy and full lives. Those who go against it face a high probability of ending up battered and broken.
Today’s article is Master Chi’s answer to you.
1 — No matter how complex life gets, it comes down to a few paramount matters: health, career, marriage, earning money, and managing money.
Everything else is optional — nice to have, but easy to let go.
So whatever you do, first think carefully about whether it serves any of these paramount matters. If it does — no matter how hard — do it. Do it consistently and without wavering.
This principle is the core of spiritual cultivation. It is the foundation for distinguishing what truly matters in life. Read it several times, and clarity will hit you like a bolt of lightning.
If you ever get the chance, observe the so-called failures around you. Many of them are actually smart and talented people — but they have far too many “ineffective actions,” which scatter their energy in every direction and leave them with nothing to show for it.
2 — Health. Health truly matters more than anything.
You don’t fully grasp this until you reach a certain age. When you’re young, money feels like the only thing that counts.
But time is ruthless. Once you pass forty, you’ll discover that money, compared to health, barely registers.
No amount of wealth means anything in the face of chronic physical discomfort. Never mind a serious illness — even a single toothache can kill your appetite for the finest meal in the world.
The wealthier and sharper a person is, the more attention they pay to their health. This is not a trend or a fashion. It is the considered, long-term choice of society’s highest achievers — because life only gives you roughly thirty to forty golden years to build something.
A healthy, resilient, and dependable body is the most fundamental capital beneath all of life’s good things.
Neglect this, and a red card can wipe out a lifetime of work in an instant. A yellow card can send you back to square one. Either way, the cost will not be worth it.
So make these your non-negotiable goals: jogging, lifting weights, yoga, weight management, lighter eating habits.
3 — Money is inexhaustible — stop chasing money and start building your career.
Master Chi needs you to understand this: do not chase those quick, easy windfalls. If the heavens truly intend to give you something, you couldn’t push it away even if you tried.
To earn money — real money — is always the result of walking the righteous path.
Great wealth can only grow from the towering tree of a legitimate career.
So don’t envy or resent others’ fortunes. If someone has built that kind of wealth, they possess capabilities you haven’t yet developed. Still waters run deep — you simply haven’t seen it yet.
Work hard. Work seriously. Go deep into your craft. Let yourself be tempered by experience and failure.
When you have grown to a certain level, you will catch the opportunities that matter. Those opportunities will eventually anchor you in a position — and that position is the enduring source of wealth.
4 — Master your marriage, and you will master every relationship in life.
Every person has different standards for choosing a partner. But there’s a saying: dragon matches dragon, phoenix matches phoenix.
Marriage, when you get specific, comes down to two things: compatibility and alignment.
Compatibility means your levels of wisdom, capability, and family background are not too far apart.
Alignment means your ambitions, goals, and values are not too far apart.
Couples who come to Master Chi for destiny chart readings before marriage, or who come asking about the future on the eve of divorce — nearly 99.99% of them have a problem in one of these two areas.
This is one of life’s most important decisions. Think clearly about these two points before you marry. Otherwise, a family pulling in two opposite directions will eventually tear itself apart — it’s only a matter of when.
5 — Earning money and managing money: one is the scythe, the other is the granary.
To judge whether a person has strong wealth fortune (財運), look at how clear their purpose is and how strong their strategic coordination is.
Clear purpose means fewer detours and fewer empty gestures. While others are still tangled up in trivialities, this person has already pocketed the money.
Strong strategic coordination means the ability to leverage connections and resources in your own way — to arrange what you need and reach the goal of earning.
Get both of these right, and the scythe in your hand becomes razor-sharp.
The person most likely to fail at earning money is the one who is afraid of wolves in front and tigers behind — who wants the money but is paralyzed by reputation, appearances, and the need to please everyone.
We want to go into battle light. This person dances in chains. How could they possibly get rich?
That’s why the strongest wealth stars in a destiny framework (格局) are always Zi Wei (Purple Emperor), Tai Yang (Sun), Tan Lang (Greedy Wolf), and Qi Sha (Seven Killings) — all decisive, swift-moving forces.
Managing money is different from earning it. Earning is fueled by drive; managing is fueled by stability.
Among the families in Master Chi’s circle with nine-figure wealth or above, there is always one person in the household who is a master at managing money. That person is, in all likelihood, governed by stars such as Tian Fu, Tian Xiang, Tai Yin, or Tian Ji.
To truly manage money, you must be willing to sit down and fully master a domain that allows wealth to grow steadily — and you must have exceptional emotional self-control, never overreacting to sudden swings.
Earning and managing: if you want to go far, choose one path and commit to it.
Earning is the warrior’s path. You believe you excel at charging into battle — using grit and decisiveness to carve out your kingdom.
Managing is the strategist’s path. You believe you excel at orchestrating from behind the scenes — using intelligence and reason to accumulate lasting wealth.
6 — How do you arrange your own destiny?
Master Chi has a habit: after completing a destiny chart reading for someone, he always gives them a piece of “homework.”
It’s simple. Write down the following, and review it every single day:
- What is my destiny framework and life pattern?
- What is my most immediate goal right now?
- What capabilities must I sharpen, and what opportunities must I be ready to seize?
- Am I keeping up with my daily practice — exercise, reading, personal growth?
Four simple questions. Circle through them every day, without exception.
No distraction. No procrastination. No slacking. Three years from now, you will be transformed.
Closing thought: Writing something short, simple, and clean is far harder than producing a long, elaborate piece. The same is true of life and destiny reading (命理). That’s why I often tell the people who come seeking a reading: don’t spend too much time describing the scattered details of your life.
Those details are not the root of the problem.
The real root is always this — a few fundamental life questions were never properly thought through, and the wrong choices were made. That is what keeps a person trapped for a lifetime.
So the best solution is to let yourself hit reset once.
Simple. Pure. Clear.
