Tonight’s article matters more than usual. Please read it patiently to the end.
1 — Master Chi can already sense it — your Chi field (气场) has been running very low lately.
There’s a heaviness sitting in your heart, a quiet kind of melancholy, and you’re not quite sure where to direct your energy in the year ahead. Add in the current season, the broader climate of things, and a few nagging troubles in your daily life — it’s no wonder your state of mind has grown increasingly dull and low.
Simply put: you’ve entered a low valley in your life.
So tonight, Master Chi isn’t here to talk about anything else. I just want you to know how to lift yourself back up.
2 — Understand this first: intermittent weakness and confusion are completely normal for human beings. There is no reason to feel guilty about it.
Whether it’s the natural rise and fall of your Chi fortune (气运), or the shifting tides of your inner state — these are simply part of the natural order. Everything has its peaks and its valleys.
Think about it: even a year has four seasons — spring, summer, autumn, winter. Even a single day has its light and its dark.
A low valley is something everyone encounters once or twice every few years. It’s almost inevitable.
So allowing yourself to slow down and let your Chi field recover — that is not a bad thing.
By the way — what exactly is the Chi field? In Master Chi’s view, it’s not some mystical, unknowable force. Strip it down to its essence, and it’s an abstract composite of your mood, your emotions, your thinking, your feelings, and your inner vitality. That is your Chi field.
3 — So when you’re in a low valley and your Chi field is depleted, the most important thing Master Chi wants to suggest is this: control your intake of negative energy.
Especially the endless stream of tragic social news, and the pessimistic opinions and commentary that flood your feed — anything that makes you sigh and feel heavy, set it aside for now. Don’t sit there with your phone endlessly absorbing all of it.
I’m not asking you to become cold or indifferent. I’m saying that when you’re already in a low valley, this kind of content hits much harder. It feeds anxiety, fear, and unease — and lets them spread deeper inside you.
Keep this up, and you’ll only grow more and more pessimistic. The idea of “bouncing back” will drift further and further away.
4 — So what do you do? You must actively seek out uplifting energy and atmosphere.
Whether it’s hiking, jogging, working out, or simply taking a walk — any step you take outside is a good step.
Human physiology is built this way: moderate movement is the most reliable trigger for dopamine, endorphins, and the generation of positive energy.
The worst thing you can do is stay cooped up in one closed-off space day after day. And if you’re also actively consuming large amounts of negative content on top of that, it becomes nearly impossible to recover and return to a good state.
These are simply the facts.
5 — Also — do not entertain any fantasies of getting rich overnight, of a sudden reversal of fortune, of sweeping all your problems away in one grand move.
Life doesn’t collapse because of a single difficulty.
It collapses because, in trying to solve that difficulty, people act recklessly — making one mistake after another — until they’re like a fish tangled in a net, the mesh pulling tighter and tighter until it cuts right into their flesh.
Remember: in a low valley, don’t thrash around. Rest and regroup.
Don’t make big decisions. Focus quietly on small things.
Let the wounds in your heart heal. That is your most important goal right now.
6 — Make yourself do things that are “small, but meaningful.”
Do them step by step, without overthinking.
Read a few authoritative classics in a field you care about — read them deeply, read them until they click. Learn a few simple but useful skills: cooking, repairs, fitness. Build a small personal presence and put out a bit of content each day. Stay focused on your current work, and use spare time to study investing — take notes, do reviews.
Keep regular hours. Tend to your home. Eat well.
In short: start doing the small things. Do not give in to decline.
Above all — don’t stay up all night scrolling through videos or playing games. Don’t binge eat, stay up recklessly, or indulge in empty pleasures on a whim.
The more you do these things, the further you sink.
7 — Tell yourself:
I am in a very difficult state right now. But my life force is still strong. That is my trump card — and I will use it to climb out of this valley.
I know that climbing out is a long, grueling process. But that’s alright. I can endure it.
I might even come to enjoy this slow journey out — savoring small, quiet moments of sweetness along the way, drawing out lessons and insights with each step.
Hold on to that, and your Chi field will slowly heal. You will gradually climb out of the valley, as naturally as day follows night.
That’s all for tonight.
And finally, Master Chi hopes you understand this one thing:
You can always treat my comments section as a place to bare your heart — a hollow in an old tree that listens, and keeps what you leave there.
When something weighs on you, find a way to let it out. Don’t bottle it up. Give yourself a gentle release.
So tonight, the comments section will stay private.
What’s in your heart — only you and I will know. You can trust that.
